Schoolcraft Little League partners with Schoolcraft Township to maintain the baseball and softball fields during the LL season. All other areas around Swan Park are maintained by Schoolcraft Township.
Routine Facility Maintenance Tasks:
-mowing/trimming
-grass seeding/bare spot maintenance
-weed control
-scoreboard system maintenance (replacing lighting panels when needed)
-hanging/removal of banners, facility signage, backstop screens (at beginning and end of season)
-sprinkler system operation & maintenance (during dry periods)
-dragging infields (aggregate areas) with rider equipment after games
-edging fields (separation between grass and aggregate) at beginning of season
-adding/leveling stone dust (when needed)
*for trash bin bag swaps around the facility, the utility golf cart will be available at the concessions stand with a roll of bags and gloves. As bags accumulate, they are disposed of in the dumpster located at the Southeast corner of the Schoolcraft Township building. See Swan Park facility map for additional information/locations here, Swan Park Info (schoolcraftlittleleague.org).
