Coaching Staff (Head Coach, Assistant Coach, Team Helpers)

Our Little League operates for the betterment of our community and area athletics. In addition to Coaches, Assistant Coaches, and Team Helpers, our volunteer base includes- umpires, concessions, facility/equipment maintenance, general housekeeping, trash/waste management, investment/improvement initiatives, pre-season clinics/evaluations, board/trustee members, scorekeepers/scoreboard operators, immediate post-game field touchup maintenance and much more. As you can see it takes an army to run our high powered and highly successful Little League, therefore THANK YOU for volunteering!

*In addition to the resources available here, please note that we have a pre-season coaching meeting (for head coaches, assistance coaches, team helpers) to review administrative items and also training events to ensure you are adequately equipped for success as a volunteer coach!  Additionally, you have direct access to any member of league leadership and other SCLL coaches for support if needed.

Inclement Weather:
If you can hear or see a storm (hear the thunder, see the lighting) then all practices or games must be paused and players and families must go to their cars.  A 30-minute delay is required from that last sound of thunder or sighting of lightning (resetting after each occurrence). Going to their cars is important to remember, the concession stand or pavilion is not a safe place for storms.  Our goal is to always have at least one board member at the fields that can notify fields if bad weather has been spotted.  It's important to remember that the safety of our kids must be of the highest importance and not trying finish and inning/game.  If one field sees or hears the storm, all fields must stop play.

Planning for Heat, see above district 15 rules/regs for regular season interleague play attachment and this link, mhsaa model policy for managing heat humidity.pdf

Planning for Cold, see above district 15 rules/regs for regular season interleague play attachment.  *Please note that some modern-day bats have disclaimers not to use if temperature is below a certain temperature (commonly 45F).  *review/verify from equipment manufacturer(s).
